Police are seeking the owners of a number of items believed to have been stolen from North Dunedin properties.

At the start of August, a man riding a scooter was stopped by Police on Albany Street and found to have several suspicious items on him.

Police believe the man unlawfully entered properties in the area in July.

A search of the alleged offender's property turned up a range of items including watches, ornaments, jewellery, and a kindle.

A 26 year old man is due to appear in the Dunedin District Court on theft and burglary charges, as well as for driving while disqualified.
