One of New Zealand’s favourite television broadcasters, Dougal Stevenson, hosts the popular weekly current affairs, lifestyle and arts magazine show 'Dunedin Diary'.

Stevenson began his television career with DNTV2 in Dunedin in the black and white days of 1964. He gained national prominence in the mid-1970s when, based in Wellington, he became one of the two main news readers on Television One.

He’s a local and national icon and we’re all relishing the thought of working with him. It’s going to be a huge amount of fun."

The thirty minute live magazine style television programme is aimed at a "mature audience" and will showcase Dunedin people doing extraordinary and interesting things in a relaxed and talkative style.

Of particular note are the quirky and unusual segments. Segments such as ‘Out of the Archives’, which is particularly interesting in that it takes a historic look of some of the interesting events within the region fully supported by old video. Take a look here.
